The Human Resources and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) coordinator will spend 50% of working time on HR related tasks and 50% of working time on EHS related tasks.  This position will act as the local EHS Safety Representative within HTA’s Oregon locations.  The HR and EHS Coordinator will partner with the HTA HR team to provide HR support to all employees of HTA. 

This position will report to the Director, Human Resources and General Affairs but may take direction from the local Manager, Human Resources or other members of the HR team.  For EHS related tasks, the Coordinator will take direction from the Manager, EHS.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Input confidential data into the following HR related systems:
o    Background check vendor system(s)
o    Workday HRIS system
o    Compliance poster vendor system (PosterGuard)
o    Relocation vendor system (Cartus)
o    Internal company tracking spreadsheets as needed
•    Deliver consistent, high quality new hire orientations using established content
•    Maintain and edit company organization charts (in PowerPoint) with a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail
•    Working with HR Generalist staff, assist with maintenance and updating of company job descriptions
•    Provide administrative support to visa (US and non-US) processes, including producing pay statements using ADP upon request
•    Administer and approve business card ordering process
•    Run and distribute monthly HR reports
•    Data entry – fit testing and eye exam
•    Facilitate EHS site orientations
•    EHS/Chemical Representative to act as liaison relating to general environmental, health and safety topics for Oregon locations
•    EHS – assist in injury investigations and/or continued solutions if no active injury exists, for Oregon locations
•    EHS – support SharePoint administration for EHS department
•    EHS – assist in creating safety documentation
•    EHS – support JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) process 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•    Associate of Arts degree required.
•    Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or similar area preferred.
•    Minimum of two years of experience working in a human resources department, preferably in an administrative and/or support capacity.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

•    Previous experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
•    Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or Workday preferred, but not required
•    Familiarity with U.S. employment laws 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Highly organized
•    Ability to handle multiple priorities at once successfully
