The Opportunity

Hitachi has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team in the position of Remanufacturing (Reman) Production Planner.

Reporting to the National Reman Manager you will liaise with the Reman Managers assisting with planning and scheduling activities of the Reman business where you will develop and manage a best practice system for all facilities.

You will identify new opportunities to implement clear improvement strategies and procedures whilst aligning with the National Reman Planning and Scheduling objectives.

In this role you will also:

  • Develop and improve methodologies with the daily planning and scheduling processes for component rebuilds in line with consumer needs.
  • Collaborate daily with regional Reman operations regarding planning and scheduling of activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies around the development, planning and execution of production and manufacturing methods.
  • Be the Reman SME to assist with Dynamics system issues to allow work continuity by collaborating closely with our internal Dynamics 365 team.
  • Lead and develop planning meetings, with the necessary agenda, input and outputs.
  • Ensure effective planning, common understanding and delivery of targets in order to achieve business requirements.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders pertaining to customers, machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty.

To be successful you will:

  • Have strong skill levels of experience with Dynamics 365 in order to implement work strategies.
  • Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from - Safety is our biggest priority.
  • Hold relevant Australian Trade qualifications and or Tertiary / Certificate qualifications in Management or Business.
  • Hold strong and effective communication which will enable you to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Thrive on your management experience to effectively mentor others by utilising your excellent leadership skills.
  • Display resilience and professionalism in motivating multiple sites/teams to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Have a proactive response to problem resolution and delivering on customer expectations.
