What You Will Be Doing

This position is accountable for the analysis, design and management of global training programs for Hitachi Vantara products, services, and technologies and will be a key advocate and driver of Global Learning strategies to support customer education.

The major responsibilities of the Learning Portfolio Manager are:
  • Build and maintain relationships with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Conduct ongoing qualitative and quantitative learning/training needs analyses
  • Create and communicate training plans aligned to business vision and strategy
  • Design training programs and curriculums aligned to identified learning needs
  • Organize and support program working groups, meetings, etc. across multiple organizations
  • Manage content development to ensure learning best practices and desired outcomes
  • Manage global program and curriculum launches
  • Support Global Learning delivery teams and instructors
  • Ensure training programs and curriculum are utilized
  • Evaluate training delivery and key performance indicators
  • Create and deliver reports describing value and results of training programs
  • Engage in continuous improvement of training programs and curriculums
  • Consult with business leaders and SMEs on training design and delivery best practices
  • Communicate value to business leaders and SMEs

What You Will Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience
  • Preference given to advanced degrees in Industrial - Organizational Psychology, technology, instructional design or education
  • Critical thinking - objective analysis of situations and issues to form sound judgements
  • Results-driven - outcome focused
  • Intellectually curious - capable of learning quickly
  • Relationship and conflict management - develop productive relationships and handle conflicting interests diplomatically
  • Creativity - come up with original and innovative ideas and solutions
  • Pioneering spirit - self-starter that can identify needs, plan action, and execute; able to work in unstructured environments providing self-direction and self-motivation
  • Program management - demonstrated ability to be accountable for programs from conception to implementation and documentation
  • Written and verbal communications - influence varied audiences (e.g. sales, marketing, engineering, customer administrators)
  • Analysis - qualitative and quantitative business, performance, and learning needs analysis
  • Creativity - develop original and innovative ideas and solutions
  • Assertive - bring a positive attitude and intensity
  • Agile - flexible team player able to adapt to new environments and situations
  • Learning design - apply instructional design and learning theory best practices
