Job description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Madrid, Spain.

Our Spain operation at the moment count about 180 people, but the upcoming contract, for which the position is designed, will significantly increase the headcount.
Mission
Achieve the defined objectives for the assigned complex (in terms of number of interfaces, volumes, risks and technical challenges) project, within the terms and conditions of the project.
Accountabilities
    • Ensure (during the negotiation phase) the final validation, of offered whole life costs estimation, revenues, margins and risks and work schedule
    • Ensure the on time, on budget and on quality activities development
    • Ensure the achievement of the targets of the assigned project in terms of Costs, Revenues, Margin and Cash in
    • Ensure client relationship by ensuring a direct interface with the client, in accordance with the area manager
    • Contribute to the promotion of business opportunities and seek/manage the Change Orders/Variation orders
    • Ensure customer satisfaction monitoring
    • Ensure contract claims preparation, with the aid of a contract manager, and disputes handling in accordance to contract provisions (e.g. identifying and applying any preventive/corrective action)


Job requirements
Required Skills/ Knowledge
    • From 5 up to 10 years of working experience
    • Experienced in Project Planning & Monitoring or Logistics
    • Experienced in dealing with external stakeholders (Clients/ Main Subcontractors)
    • Risk and Contract Management Experience
    • Skilled in Project Management or similar role
    • Excellence in Achieving Assigned Objectives
    • Railway or Mass Transportation Project Awareness
    • Able to work in complex - multicultural environment
    • Innovation and Mobility mindset
Education / Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or MBA
Languages

Spanish mother tongue or fluent
Conversational English level
Italian highly considered
