Role Overview

We currently require a Customer Solution Delivery Lead to work in the Social Innovation team in its newly formed ‘Intelligent Fleet Decarbonisation’ Business.  You will be required to lead agile delivery teams, both internal and external, to select and implement technology solutions for our clients.  You will be responsible for helping clients define their requirements, selecting or configuring solutions, analysing client processes, transforming client data, ensuring effective solution integration and the quality of the solutions, etc. Essentially, we expect you to work with the Intelligent Fleet Decarbonisation team, suppliers and clients across the entire implementation cycle.  You will be able to confidently represent Hitachi capabilities and our solutions internally and externally.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external providers) to deliver and integrate solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Working closely with external and internal clients, you will be responsible for application and integration of solutions, configuration and successful customer delivery
  • Continually plan and lead the delivery of solutions to achieve the right outcome for the customer and the business
  • Leading customer interactions to elicit, capture, prioritise and deliver their requirements
  • Capturing and feeding requirements into the IFD Product team to inform the longer-term development plan for future new features
  • Identifying solutions that meet customer needs, from both Hitachi and its partners’ capabilities, identifying any gaps and taking appropriate actions to address them
  • Understanding and maintaining a view of the competitors and third-party suppliers and how their solutions meet evolving customer requirements
  • Gathering and analysing customer insight to form recommendations for future products, features and capabilities and to help populate and prioritise development backlogs
  • Collaborating closely with other colleagues to help foster an environment where the team continues to thrive

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Evidence that you are driven to deliver successful solutions that meet customer needs and timescales
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced delivery team
  • Project Management experience, within a software solutions industry
  • Ideally, experience in the transport industry, understanding the main operational challenges bus and commercial vehicle fleets need to manage; direct exposure to bus or vehicle fleet electrification / charging and/or telematics advantageous
  • Experience of managing customer relationships to deliver solutions successfully
  • Excellent relationship management skills, and ability to communicate successfully at all levels of an organisation
  • Experience in Cloud Native implementation and dev/ops integration in solution implementation
  • Strong understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle processes and project planning
  • Ability to identify cross-stream dependencies Experience in delivering hybrid solutions, where some are delivered by third parties and some in-house, and proven ability to manage supplier relationships
  • Ability to analyse and understand customer processes and requirements, and translate them into statements of work, minimum viable products and user stories for technical delivery teams
  • Demonstrable track record of successful and timely delivery of products in an end-to-end large scale digital organisation
  • Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams of product owners, sales, engineering, design, marketing, analytics and research to deliver amazing products
  • A pragmatic, can-do and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong collaborator and team player, but self-motivated and comfortable to be self-directed
  • Experience in digital software development, integrating external products
  • Passionate about working in social innovation, and in particular environmental sustainability
