We as Global Delivery (GD) are part of the Global Services Organization at Hitachi Vantara. Our task is the implementation of the various Hitachi solutions after the sale to our customers. The Project Management team within GD works very closely with the Technical Consultants to jointly implement Hitachi solutions for our customers.
We collaborate as a team and cross-functionally to ensure the success of our customers. Our mostly international clients are active in all industries: telecommunications, banking - financial services, retail, pharmaceuticals, public sector, etc.

What you'll be doing

The Services Project Coordinator including Team Lead function is part of a Team of 8-10 Project Coordinators with the same responsibilities and has at the same time the mandate to lead this Team located in Krakow without personnel responsibility.
The first part of this role is to work as a Project Coordinator responsible for the coordination of professional services projects over the whole life cycle with the phases New, Planning, Live and Closed. This is mainly the administration of the engagements in Salesforce Kimble which includes various initial, weekly, monthly and project completion tasks but also close coordination with our customers and colleagues.
In this role, you also provide a revenue forecast for your projects on a weekly basis to the Global Delivery Management team. To have an overview of these tasks at any time, even for a larger number of projects, various reports are available. You will support the Global Delivery Organization to deliver projects in time, budget, scope, and quality.

The second part of this role is to lead the Project Coordinator Team. You are accountable for Project Coordination activities in EMEA Central, Southern and Northern regions ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of our lower complexity, lower risk projects assigned by the Professional Services line of business.

With responsibility for leading the Project Coordinator Team in Krakow, the Team Leader is supporting the Manager Project Management Delivery EMEA Central ensuring Project Coordination talent retention, development and acquisition. Therefor some tasks are delegated to you: set and manage goals, performance review, conduct regular one to one meetings, create and maintain a trainings plan, vacation planning, conduct regular team meetings.

In this role, you also ensure the achievement of Global Delivery utilization targets for the Project Coordinator team, cost control and also managing the capacity and skillsets required against demand. You are in regular communication and coordination with the head of the Project Management offshore Center in Hyderabad, India to ensure that the positive service experience for our customers, provided by the Project Coordinators (local and offshore), is always the same.

You are part of the EMEA wide Project Management Community and cooperate with the heads of Project Management in the EMEA regions to constantly develop the processes, governance, and best practice to support the Project Managers and Project Coordinators across EMEA.

What you bring to the team
  • 3+ years of experience in the successful administration of projects, ideally around IT infrastructure (Storage, Servers, Network, Converged or Hyperconverged, Hybrid Cloud, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience leading a Team in a Project Support Office environment.
  • A forward-looking and far-sighted work style.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, self-motivated and self-contained.
  • Ability to communicate freely and effectively with different hierarchy levels - customers, peers, management.
  • Enjoy working with distributed teams including members from different countries.
  • Ability to keep a cool head even in difficult situations and to act in a structured but also empathetic way.
  • Fluent written and spoken business English and Polish, German would be a plus.
  • Reliable and precise way of working for the monthly creation and sending of customer reports for delivered services, as well as the further processing after confirmation by the customer.
  • Industry recognized Project Management certifications like PMI, PRINCE2, Scrum will be considered an advantage.
  • It would be beneficial to have Kimble (Salesforce) know-how.
