Job Title: Project Scheduler

Reports to:  Operations Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to align project timelines with deployment schedule.
  • Consult with Manufacturing Engineering group and Ops Functional Managers to determine requirements for installations and equipment rentals.
  • Work with Deployment Engineer to determine requirements for contractor licensing.
  • Work with the Applications Engineering group to understand the budget and use it for a cost comparison with contractor installation quotes.
  • Develop and maintain a database for contractor performance, abilities, and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain a database for onsite personnel information, safety certifications, and contractor orientation acknowledgments, to include builders, electricians, controls engineers, and suppliers.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Project Managers, Installation Contractors, Safety Inspectors, and purchasing to stay apprised on issues, project timing, installations, and equipment rentals.
  • Liaison for Project Managers with installation contractors, Safety Inspectors, and customers.
  • Conduct research to seek out installation contractors, including licensing requirements.
  • Submit Bid requests to installation contractors, and conduct cost comparisons.
  • Review returned contactor bids with Operations Manager to determine best-suited contractor for installs.
  • Hire and manage installation contractors, including uploading bids for purchase orders.
  • Provide support for conflicts onsite during installs, including onsite visits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project scheduling in manufacturing or automation industries.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability for 10% travel to customer sites and work in a production facility.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Travel 0-10% by car and plane
  • Industrial work environment with associated noise levels
  • Repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and fingers.
