Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Track Access Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Oakland, CA.

Project
BART CBTC Project is an 8-year project to upgrade the signaling and communications of the BART Commuter Rail System in San Francisco to a modern Communications Based Train Control System. 
This role exists within the Construction Department of Hitachi Rail STS USA based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibility
This role is to manage the access coordination and associated documentation for all Project site activities with the Project Team, the Project Authority and BART. 


Accountabilities
Coordinate the development of Site Specific Work Plans with internal stakeholders including subcontractors.
Coordinate all Track Access Work Requests with internal stakeholders and ensure timely submission to the client.
Communicate with the nominated representatives from the operator and client and follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure that day-to-day access issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Maintain records of all access requests, approvals and cancellations to support the Project Management team with performance data of the access requests.
Comply with all Health and Safety rules, policies and procedures.


Required Skills/ Knowledge:
1-3 years’ experience with project type work
Experience dealing with a broad range of stakeholders
Demonstrated organization and communication skills
Knowledge and experience with typical office software such as MS Project, Excel and Word
Understanding of Health & Safety regulations


Desired Skills/ Knowledge
Experience working with operating metro’s and/or railways


Education
Bachelor degree in engineering/construction is desirable or equivalent work experience 

Languages
English Proficiency
