HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated PRINCIPAL POWER SUPPLY & TRACTION POWER ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities:

  • Establish criteria and/or work procedures to achieve a high level of quality and productivity;
  • Ensure the proper identification, management and fulfillment of the contractual requirements into Power Supply & Traction Power design;
  • Ensure the identification and resolution of the Power Supply & Traction Power interfaces with the main subsystems (e.g. Signalling, CW, Auxiliary systems etc.);
  • Ensure the Verification activities on Power Supply & Traction Power documents, according to the V&V Plan;
  • Elaborate, propose, control and test the Power Supply & Traction Power applications delivery budget in coherence with the company strategy;
  • Support capitalization and sharing of knowledge related to the specific Power Supply & Traction Power (e.g. best practice, lesson learned);
  • Contribute to guarantee that the delivery of every system is achieved in compliance with engineering guidelines and quality standards, and in accordance with time and cost Constraints.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Ten to Fifteen years’ related experience;
  • Experience in power supply & traction power projects, especially Metro rail Project.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

  • One to two or more years of experience in railways systems, traction power & power supply design & commissioning activities.

Languages: English Proficiency
