Senior Systems Engineer

Description

As an IT Senior Systems Engineer, you will act as the lead architect of all JR Automation business systems hardware.   Your responsibilities will include design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of all corporate server infrastructure.  You will report to the Director of Network Services and take primary ownership of server and storage systems. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Maintain and administration of servers and infrastructure, assist with fault diagnostic and provide problem resolution management as well as network security and access controls.  
• Oversee the corporate Hyper-V environments and all supporting systems, from host servers to SAN storage, and work with the Engineering Team regarding network connectivity to those systems.   
• Design, plan, and implement corporate Office 365 environment, and maintain for all users, including global subsidiaries.   
• Oversee and maintain all corporate servers within JR Automation, all global subsidiaries, and current customers that have a support agreement with JR Automation. Lead architecture of system installations, upgrades, and changes.   
• Required to work with various backup solutions and software within the organization. You are also required to ensure the backup systems operate efficiently and the companies can rely on such equipment. 
• Required to work directly with Management and all employees with the ability to address all needs from Help Desk Support to the migration of servers, and network/software related systems.   
• Design, plan, and implement Fiber and ISCSI SAN Infrastructures for use in Hyper-V clustered environments.   
• Operate a server environment with uptime and stability, utilizing the best practices for High Availability and Disaster Recovery, for the customers as the utmost highest priority.   
• Project ownership of key high-level projects, serve as a resource to our Engineering team, and work with the company’s Management team to provide effective solutions.   
• Required to provide certain levels of help desk support to our customers.   
• Familiarity with other Engineering Team members’ responsibilities and tasks, to provide backup assistance where necessary.

What You’ll Bring: 

• Associates Degree or equivalent  
• At least 7 years related experience 
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
