What you'll be doing

Hitachi Vantara is looking for a dedicated, creative, and highly self-motivated Head of Web and Digital Experience to lead and manage a global team of web producers, developers, and analysts to drive growth and implement innovative solutions and effective strategies online and digitally to create a world-class web experience for Hitachi Vantara and our customers.

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, you will work closely with Corporate Marketing and Demand Gen Marketing strategists, Creative Directors and Designers, Content and Video Producers, social media teams, and third-party agencies to generate innovative, engaging, and impactful web journeys that resonate with our audiences, while measuring their success, and optimizing for SEO and performance. You will lead a team of talented web developers and data analytics specialists located in the US and in India, managing web strategy, architecture, production, and development, in creating a best-in-class web experience.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Web Production, Development, and Analytics team of full-time employees and contractors
• Develop a web strategy and roadmap that integrates its priorities with other digital marketing functions to drive and optimize demand from hitachivantara.com
• Drive growth by improving the effectiveness of the website to increase customer acquisition and demand within targeted personas
• Forecast and manage the budget for ongoing development and planned innovation
• Partner with brand and creative leaders to create a holistic visual experience - translating the Hitachi Vantara brand across all digital touchpoints, with a world-class .com experience at the core
• Build experiences which delight and enable our customers and prospects to find the right information at the right time
• Establish a core set of web KPIs and reporting cadence to drive data-based design optimizations across .com and associated properties
• Provide leadership to team members in the US and India, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training and development, identifying gaps, and ensuring the organization is built to scale
• Make recommendations based on rigorous use of data and analytics as well as usability testing to improve the customer experience and ensure the website is optimized for demand and conversion
• Research competition, investigate benchmarks, and stay up-to-date on best practices
• Drive strategic recommendations for campaigns, in coordination with the Revenue Marketing/Demand Gen teams
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new web technologies
• Ensures SLAs are met for uptime, publishing, management of all technology requirements including maintenance needs of web systems and technology partner integrations used to generate and capture demand for the business
• Institute and ensure governance, quality assurance, ensuring consistency of customer experience

What you bring to the team

• 10 years in digital native experience across all practice areas including search, web, digital advertising, marketing; with extensive experience with developing state-of-the-art website experiences
• 5+ years of experience managing a development team and technology vendors
• Demonstrated mastery of SEO fundamentals and how they interplay with website technology, architecture, and content to deliver outstanding organic search performance
• Solid understanding of SEM, paid media, and multi-channel marketing
• Methodical, metrics-driven approach to continuous improvement; strong analytical skills with the ability to identify insights that are put into action
• Experience building and managing nearshore, offshore, and onsite development teams, simultaneously
• Awareness of leading-edge best practices for high performing, highly functional, on-brand and modern B2B websites
• Experience managing global websites, understanding of localization and translation best practices
• Knowledge of Adobe digital experience solutions and optimization tools a plus
