Your new role

In this exciting role, based out of our Stoke Gifford depot, you will be responsible for analysis and evaluation of performance, including identifying trends, drawing conclusions and recommending corrective action to drive performance improvement in line with contractual obligations.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Be responsible for accurate operational performance data in HRL enterprise management systems, ensuring that all contractual protections have been applied.  
  • Ensuring that data input is timely, accurate and at the correct level of detail to allow root cause analysis and trending of data for performance, contract payments and also for continuous improvement.
  • Working with Contracts Manager to ensure application of contractual measures are made on all Paymech data.
  • Work with Contract Manger to escalate risk of disagreements between Operator and Hitachi for resolution with supporting information.
  • Work with other OS&M functions to determine ways of ensuring data capture and communication is simple, quick and accurate to enable correct reporting and trending.
  • Policing the KPI element of the contract, ensuring defects & D&V are tracked, planned and closed out in line with contractual requirements and certification. Ensure clear KPI’s are available to inform the business.
  • Support CPC with planning and influencing work load to maximise delivery and minimise penalties.
  • Feed data analysis into weekly and period performance reviews, as required.
  • Utilise the SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications (SOROS, Hermes, Bugle, Acumen, Trust, Integrale) where required in order to inform data inputs.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a customer focus.
  • Support the contracts team capturing data and trends for D&V to ensure this is charged back to the customer and
  • Support the Performance Manager with the development and action of improvement initiatives using the data captured.
  • Participate in daily/Weekly conference calls.
  • Prepare performance reports and give verbal briefs as required.
  • Promote, support and comply with all health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with Hitachi’s new business demands as required.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Performance Manager.

About you

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with external parties. 
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in excel and other IT systems
  • Experience working with large data sets.

Qualifications

  • A-Levels / HNC / L3/4 NVQ

Desirable

  • Working with service contracts a benefit
  • Rail maintenance & operations experience desirable – train planning, maintenance and train system
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
