Hiring position : Quality Management Functional Division, Hitachi Astemo Ltd.

Location  : Tokyo Japan 

Mission

The mission of the Quality Management Functional Division is to globally oversee the quality assurance operations of the entire Astemo network. With the integration of the five former companies, we are focusing our efforts to create a newly unified quality system aimed to enhance simplification and efficiency which is to become the core of Astemo's future quality assurance.
This job will require in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in quality processes/systems, and also competency to communicate with overseas sites and the former five companies.
In the process of establishing Astemo's quality system, the person for this job will be in a position to acquire vast knowledge and experience of Astemo's systems, as well as a global network of contacts, making this job a vital and desirable career path.

Background of the recruitment

The mission of the Quality Management Functional Division is to globally oversee the quality assurance operations of the entire Astemo network. With the integration of the five former companies, we are focusing our efforts to create a newly unified quality system aimed to enhance simplification and efficiency which is to become the core of Astemo's future quality assurance.
This job will require in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in quality processes/systems, and also competency to communicate with overseas sites and the former five companies. Thus, we look to recruit a person with the ability to communicate with overseas sites in English and convey the contents to our members in Japan.
In the process of establishing Astemo's quality system, the person for this job will be in a position to acquire vast knowledge and experience of Astemo's systems, as well as a global network of contacts, making this job a vital and desirable career path.

Key Responsibility and  Activities

1) Evaluation of Astemo's quality systems and processes, and promotion of activities to enhance simplification and efficiency.
2) Establishment of project management systems for the above, management of activities to achieve goals, and human resources support.
3) To collaborate and establish cooperative relationships with relevant internal and external divisions, especially Astemo's overseas network.

With the merger of the five transportation machine-related companies, including businesses with headquarters based in the EU, duties will be to re-establish a quality management system to facilitate integration and operation.
This work will include communicating information to overseas sites and gathering information on their state of affairs.

The Quality Management Functional Division in Japan will take the lead in restructuring the quality management system, but because communication with business units headquartered in the EU will be limited to English, the person for this job will be expected to take on the important role of communicating with solid English proficiency, have the ability to comprehend the other party and convey the contents in Japanese to the Quality Management Functional Division.

Therefore, knowledge of quality management systems and specific procedures of quality regulations (IATF16949) will be necessary.

Key Professional Competencies /Qualification /Experience

Required

1) Extensive skills, competencies, and experience in automobile quality processes and systems.
2) Ability to speak fluently and communicate smoothly in English.
3) Not only language skills, but also high level of communication skills to be able to accurately convey information/intentions and achieve concord with parties of different native languages including Japanese.
4） Innovative leadership and unwavering commitment to quality compliance.
5） Must be able to commute to and work at designated work location and travel domestically/internationally with overnight stays.

Best if you are

1) Other language skills besides English and communication skills in Japanese are more than welcome.
2) Knowledge concerning quality of Astemo and supplier parts.
3) Experience in organizational reforms, manufacturing, and operations, regardless of automobile/non-automobile industry.
4）Work experience overseas and in Japan.
