Reporting to the EVP Australasia and leading a small team of safety and quality professionals, this role is responsible for supporting the organisation in the delivery of safe and sustainable business activities by providing superior HSEQ systems, policies, and practices. You will also lead the development of a people-centric Safety culture and drive improvements in HSEQ practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Safety, Environment and Quality vision for HEPI globally.
  • Communicate, promote, and manage the vision with respect to HSEQ standards, behaviours, performance and demonstrate a Safety-First culture that supports continuous improvement.
  • Developing and implementing systems that drive and enhance the Safety culture.
  • Ensure that all business activities comply with safe working procedures and standards.
  • Provide advice and leadership in relation to HSEQ strategy, compliance and relevant legislation and standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accredited HSEQ systems and audits.

You will bring:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of eight years in a senior HSEQ role, preferably in a mining or manufacturing business.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practice and relevant legislation including contemporary approaches to Safety, Environment and Quality in a global environment.
  • Development of Safety, Quality or Environmental frameworks, standards, and processes.
  • Proven experience with workplace investigations and risk frameworks.
