What you’ll be doing

The Mobility Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team that provides global domestic and international mobility services to Hitachi employees. They works closely with their team to facilitate the administration of mobility-related benefits and compensation packages in close partnership with the GBS HR Total Rewards & Performance Management team, BU HR, and third-party partners. The Manager is also responsible for overseeing the research, modeling, and evaluation of mobility programs as part of Hitachi’s Total Rewards Strategy. They are knowledgeable on leading practices, conduct competitive market analysis, and understand how mobility fits into business strategy. They also collaborate with the Total Rewards COE and BU HR to ensure that policies to resolve any escalated inquiries.

This role will be a mixture of remote working and based from Hitachi’s office in Bangalore.

What you bring to the team

We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision.  Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:

  • Supports the development and implementation of Total Rewards (mobility) strategy, programs, and policies
  • Conducts regular global mobility competitive market (including compensation and benefits) analysis
  • Researches and proposes mobility program updates based on leading practice findings and analysis
  • Manages the domestic and international mobility processes utilizing AssignmentPro
  • Provides mobility support throughout duration of international assignment
  • Gathers and validates required information from the employee and BU HR
  • Partners with BU HR, GBS HR Total Rewards & Performance Management, and third-party partners to determine and administer relocation package
  • Manages day to day relationships with mobility partners and helps facilitate the resolution of support and service issues
  • Coordinates relocation logistics between host and home country, including country briefings, cultural assessments, and cultural trainings
  • Initiates tax and immigration services
  • Manages end of assignment activities such as repatriation
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for mobility research and administration inquiries with Total Rewards COE and BU HR
