POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse & Shipper / Receiver position will be responsible for the safe and timely receiving and shipping of parts into and out of the local branch of HE Parts International – Engine Solutions US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to HEPI policies and statutory regulations and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Utilize your best effort to service H-E Parts Engine Solution’s customers by maintaining a neat and organized working area while ensuring that proper documentation and quality of shipments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving of goods from vendors and transfers from other H-E Parts locations.
  • Opening each shipment box/crate to ensure condition and quantities match what is indicated on the packing slips.
  • Proper allocation of parts into bin locations in inventory.
  • Maintenance of stocking area to ensure a clean, neat, organized and properly binned warehouse area.
  • Preparation of parts to ship, ensuring quantity and part match what is on the sales order / shipping documents.
  • Preparing proper packing slips, shipping documents and communication to shipping companies to have parts delivered to our customers or other H-E Parts locations.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized shipping/receiving area as well as yard areas.
  • Cross promote products & services from other H-E Parts International divisions.
  • Routinely cycle count and perform annual inventory count as required by operations.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and basic forklift maintenance as required.
  • Pull or stock materials using Radio Frequency scanning system
  • Utilize scale to weigh and/or hand count product per warehouse/ customer specifications
  • Utilize label printer to prepare labels as required
  • Return remaining product to proper location
  • Count, Bag, and label per warehouse/ customer requirements
  • Utilize carrier and third-party shipping system to ship product
  • Perform timely cycle counts and inventory audits to support an accurate inventory management system
  • Compose paperwork/correspondence, analyze, troubleshoot, and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Meet established standards for quality and productivity
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

DECISION MAKING:

Position will be required to make decisions related to inventory maintenance and bin locating.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position will require collaboration with department managers, sales staff, craft team members, as well as current & potential customers and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in shipping / receiving or warehouse management is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Mining, Construction, and related industries is required
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office products and willingness to learn Inventory Management System.
  • Previous experience with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems is considered an asset. 
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience or certification in forklift operation preferred.
  • Amazing attitude, positive outlook, and quick learner
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees and management.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of, but not limited to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the accountabilities of the job. While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, crouch walk, and sit. Climbing on and off forklifts, using ladders and shoveling snow, sweeping and transferring parts from shelf to cart or skids is also required. On occasion, the employee will need to handle materials weighing up to 105 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative, but not limited to those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials) handled and transported through the job sites and in warehouses. The employee may be exposed to airborne particles, oils, gas or other dangerous goods. The employee may occasionally be exposed to sharp and abrasive edges which may result in scrapes, cuts or bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to changing cold, hot and humid conditions. The noise level may occasionally be loud. All personal protective safety equipment should be worn to minimize dangers and exposures to potential work conditions.
