Supplier Project Coordinator (m/f/d)

In this position you are part of the Business Unit Purchasing and act as the project leader within the customer project core team ensuring that the delivery of components is on time, on quality and on cost. In serial life you are responsible for coordinating cost assessment, procurement planning and overall strategy between business units, product units and procurement.

You will report directly to the BU Purchasing Team Lead Europe.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Perform supplier program risk assessment for the entire BOM, assess and identify APQP resources.
• Manage supplier concessions before PPAP validation, related recovery plans and short-, long-term project changes (VEC…).
• Be in charge for BOM costs and supplier tooling costs (for CAT/CE templates) and explain material costs evolutions for CAT/CE Updates.
• Prepare and launch process for Supplier Tooling approval.
• Coordinate the delivery of parts (off tools-off tools/off process-PPAP parts) until PPAP validation (support prototype phase).
• Ensure the completeness of the internal and supplier documentation according APQP standard.
• Communicate or visit customer at the suppliers and represent the project at supplier.
• Monitor product/project profitability, governance of purchasing cost reduction implementation activities.

Profile and Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree in a technical area or business science
• 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing function as a project purchaser/advanced purchaser or project management (automotive experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as well as strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• Well organized, inquisitive, and independent attitude to work
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel while paying adequate attention to detail
• Safe handling Microsoft Office
• Willingness and interest for international travels & teamwork
