Job Description
Design, develop and maintain embedded software for new product development and sustaining product engineering for the rail industry. Contribute to the delivery of software within budget and schedule that fulfills the input requirements (Functional, Performance, and Quality), using efficient modular design that enables reuse and standardization for future.

Accountabilities

Contribute to the design and the implementation of a complete solution (modules, documentation and tools), applying company standard processes (IMS).

Contribute to ensuring the correct operation of the SW on the applicable platforms.

Contribute to providing the proper level of support to other functional units (RAMS, Verification, and Test & Commissioning) in all the product life-cycle phases.

Contribute to departmental initiatives on continuous improvement to software development methodologies and best practices.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

3-5 years of C/C++ programing in an embedded environment.

Experience with embedded Linux operating systems environments.

Debugging embedded real-time applications and communications software utilizing tools and analyzers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

Good Socket level understanding (TCP/IP, UDP) and knowledge of network communications.

Microcontroller hardware interface/driver experience

Software development in Linux strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science
