The Opportunity

Our Muswellbrook branch is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Trainee Receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in an office environment as a front desk receptionist, whilst gaining valuable hands on industry experience in a supportive environment. As a Trainee you will complete a Certificate III in Business Administration over a 12-month period.

Reporting to the Administration Manager, in addition to completing your Certificate III the role will:

  • Receive & direct incoming phone calls and visitors in a polite and courteous manner
  • Maintain the confidentiality and correctly file away correspondence and other documents
  • Update and maintain databases such as visitor & contractor inductions & in house systems
  • Ensure Reception entrance and front of house is neat and tidy at all times

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to take initiative in leading a goal-orientated and busy team
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident level of computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to build good relationships and help other team members in providing end to end administrative support
  • A keen initiative to be flexible in a fast-paced environment and strategically multi-task
  • Year 10 High School certificate or greater
