Summary:

Working under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Marketing Manager will research and analyze the current marketplace in order to accurately propose long term marketing strategies that maximize return on investment and support overall organizational objectives. This position will be responsible for overseeing the execution and measurement of promotions, publicity, advertising activities and product launches.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific (HIAMS)AM site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

  • Lead in developing and executing integrated global marketing campaigns that support overall organizational objectives (i.e. public relations, promotions, sponsorships, direct marketing).
  • Develop and schedule media plan strategy (i.e. digital, print). Negotiate and purchase placements.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to understand future sales potential and appropriate market positioning for the Hitachi brand.
  • Oversee the development and creation of tradeshow attendance. Assess viability of additional tradeshows and measure current efforts.
  • Organize product launches; go to market strategy and post-release performance analysis.
  • Oversee Aftermarket RFQ and pricing activities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information is required.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and follows all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for following all quality policy standards.

Qualifications:

Knowledge skills and abilities 

Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; Be able to perform duties utilizing current company software applications; Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills; Perform duties in an ethical and professional manner; Be able to work with cross-functional teams of diverse backgrounds and skill levels; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Market, business or related.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years prior related experience, preferably in an automotive industry setting. 

Job Level:   Determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Will have oversight of Marketing Staff, May also oversee other administrative/office staff.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours based on need (communication with other facilities outside the US may be required).

Travel: Domestic and international travel will be required as needed. 

Work Environment: Working in an office environment, with potential exposure to manufacturing and/or warehouse locations.
