Hitachi Vantara is looking for a Data Solution Developer professional who is personable, intelligent, analytical and solution driven. You are not afraid of getting your hands dirty and making independent decisions when the situation demands.

What You Will Be Doing

A proven Data Solutions Developer with a deep understanding of data structures and related programming languages.

• Highly proficient at data manipulation using SQL and Python.
• Experienced with structured data tools (e.g., SQL), & unstructured data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g. Grafana, Kibana, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
• Proficient in at least one programming language, e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, C++, C.
• Demonstrable experience with translating unstructured, complex business problems into practical, powerful data solutions.
• A passion for keeping up with the latest trends in data science and data engineering.
• A curious mind, self-starter and endlessly keen to learn and develop themselves professionally.
• Provide programming and best practice consultation directly to our clients and partners for the integration of our Enterprise Data Automation products and services with large, complex datasets.
• Drive the partnership with other teams to understand client requirements, communicate product improvements, and assist with all client development needs.
• Adopt and embrace our cultural and innovative best practices and solutions to quickly and accurately identify and address highly technical problems.
• Be solution focused, able to perform detailed and meaningful diagnostic work and troubleshooting quickly and accurately, developing additional tools where you see a need internally or for our clients.

What You Bring To The Team

• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) field.
• Highly proficient at data manipulation using SQL and Python.
• Experienced with structured data tools (e.g., SQL), & unstructured data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g. Grafana, Kibana, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
• Proficient in at least one programming language, e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, C++, C.
• Strong client facing experience, be presentable & able to articulate complex technical concepts to all skill levels.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple technical streams / lead client engagements whilst collaborating across different teams.
• The ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of skill levels both in verbal and written form.
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing readable example code.
• Confident to work with clients ranging from developers to CTOs.
• Required U.S. Citizen or Resident.
