The Hitachi Europe Tax Shared Services Group provides professional finance services in a fast growing and changing business. Hitachi Europe is planning to increase its revenue significantly – through both organic growth and acquisitions – whilst modernizing and streamlining its processes.

To support our Finance and Accounting team within the Tax Shared Services Group, we are looking for a

Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist the EMEA Transfer Pricing Manager in providing corporate tax and transfer pricing support to group companies across various

  • industries and various European countries (focus will be on tax compliance and advisory services, VAT compliance and advisory, transfer pricing support, other tax-related support services)

  • Contribute to the transfer pricing compliance process for Hitachi Europe’s UK, German, Italian, French, Greek and Spanish entities and other Hitachi group companies, prepare and file country by country reporting notifications with tax authorities in the region and manage transfer pricing documentation for these and other group companies (including benchmark search and economic

  • analysis)

  • Support the EMEA Transfer Pricing Manager in providing transfer pricing advisory to Hitachi Europe’s UK, German, Italian, French, Greek and Spanish entities and other Hitachi group companies, undertake in-depth company, industry and market research and design financial models to analyse and price

  • intercompany transactions for products and services

  • Provide support to the EMEA Transfer Pricing Manager in dealing with requests from the Hitachi headquarters tax team, prepare the Hitachi group’s country by country report, review the group’s transfer pricing information and determine transfer pricing risks

  • Act as contact person for all routine transfer pricing issues for the business in the region and support the corporate tax process, system reviews and testing including assessment of tax risks

  • Work closely with the EMEA Transfer Pricing Manager and the EMEA Head of Tax to identify appropriate approach and strategy for local entities in dealing with corporate tax and transfer pricing audits and controversies with local tax authorities

  • Participate in ensuring that appropriate tax controls, procedures and reporting functionality is in place and contribute to the implementation of projects related to finance, tax or transfer pricing topics

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, or ACCA/ACA/ATT/CTA or similar accounting qualification

  • Experience in transfer pricing in a multinational environment either from an inhouse or tax consulting perspective

  • In-depth understanding of transfer pricing policies and methodologies, the “arm’s-length principle” and business economics; understanding of international tax issues

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity and accountability

  • Effective research skills with knowledge of performing benchmark searches and analyses using relevant databases

  • Proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel), knowledge of benchmarking databases such as Orbis and TP Catalyst and ideally also of SAP

  • Proactive, team- and detail-oriented working style along with solid interpersonal abilities and strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written; languages in addition to English advantageous
