JR Automation is seeking a Materials Coordinator (Tool Room Coordinator) for our Auburn Hills, MI location.  Under the direction of a Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Coordinator provides support to the Manufacturing department.

Specific duties of a Materials Coordinator include assisting project managers and shop supervisors with work kit preparation, acting as liaison between Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing, and maintaining material organization throughout the build process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the Build team to develop and organize material and material storage areas throughout the building in support of the line side stocking program
  • Deliver materials to job shelves throughout the building to support the line side stocking program
  • Stage skids and other bulk material to plant locations based on point of use stocking program
  • Perform material “check in” process to indicate materials that have been delivered to the Build team
  • Collaborate with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials
  • Determine all required materials and ensure availability of all materials for a given build activity
  • Demonstrate a commitment to JR Automation/Esys Core Beliefs
  • Uphold and become an integral part of the JR Automation/Esys culture
  • Understand and effectively employ the JR Automation/Esys Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Travel to other JR Automation locations, customers and/or suppliers may be required

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent certification
  • 3+ years’ experience in business environment
  • Logistics, Material Management or Supply Chain experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as required
  • Ability to obtain a Hi‐Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at JR
