Hitachi Rail STS is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated SITE OHSE COORDINATOR who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable in working in an international environment. The position is be based in Solna, Sweden.
In your role, you will be part of a global project team for several Railway projects.
Job description:
The position will deal with all disciplines concerning work sites for all relevant health, safety and environmental issues.
You have to be able to identify the OHSE Legal and Customer Requirements and to have supervision of the correct implementation of Hitachi Rail STS activities (this includes supplier and subcontractors) in compliance with OHSE Policies, OHSE Legislative requirements, HSE Customer Requirements and HSE Hitachi Rail STS Management system.
This job requires that you are able to implement and maintain all documents and procedures needed in accordance to Local Legislation, OHSE Customer Requirements and to the HSE Hitachi Rail STS Management System. Furthermore, implement the HSE Programs for the achieving of the planned OHSE Objectives of the project, supervise the performance and implement corrective solutions in case of negative trends.
It requires to execute the OHSE coordination activities and report the results (minutes of meeting) between Hitachi Rail STS, subcontractors and customer during the execution of the work. This also includes implementing the HSE hazard identification, risk assessment and determination of necessary control measures and to identify and manage emergency for the construction site.
Be able to perform regular OHSE inspections (minimum of informal daily and formal weekly) in work areas of Hitachi Rail STS and of subcontractors.
You will have to meet with the Client and authorities.
You will have to support the HSE country manager in the implementation and maintenance of the local HSE management system. This includes the preparation and update of relevant documentation, participation to internal and external audit for certification purpose, reporting to the corporate HSE management for performance evaluation and at last, the arrangement of the regular HSE committee meetings and the annual management reviews.
