About the role

Based in either Perth or Brisbane, the Delivery Manager Australia will report to the Head of Sales and Delivery and will oversee all our projects within Australia. In doing this, the Deliver Manager Australia will ensure that s/he successfully achieves the objectives of the assigned high complex Clusters and/or Projects (high complex in terms of number of interfaces, volumes, risks and technical challenges), supporting business development to expand it and identifying improvement strategies. The Delivery Manager will have a team of Program Managers reporting directly to her/him. 

About the successful candidate

To succeed in this role, the candidate will be highly focused and driven who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes. 

Someone with extensive rail signalling or rail systems experience working within large projects with strong leadership skills in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects including integration across multiple project and functional disciplines. 

It is critical that the Delivery Manager has experience in successfully building and maintaining strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering 
  • Chartered Professional Engineer – highly desirable
  • Project Management qualification 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience successfully delivering complex rail systems programs in Australia and abroad.
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of program/project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading highly diverse teams (diversity of culture, disciplines, gender, and geographic locations). 
  • Experience in Sales, Business Development, RFP, Tender, feasibility studies through to detailed design and delivery in rail signalling projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure the budget proposal.
  • Ensure the achievement of the targets on budget, on time and on quality.
  • Ensure projects and customer prioritization within the specific.
  • Ensure Client relationship by ensuring a single and direct managerial interface with the client.
  • Ensure data monitoring, reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure monitoring, reporting and achievement of the KPIs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction monitoring and the handling of any customer claim (e.g. identifying and applying any preventive/corrective action).
  • Contribute to the promotion of market opportunities (e.g. through the promotion of orders and variation orders).
  • Lead highly diverse teams (diversity of culture, disciplines, gender, and geographic locations).
