The Opportunity

We currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Estimator to join our Mackay team. In this permanent full-time role, your core focus will be to plan and carry out all estimating activities on assigned accounts or areas. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery

About You

Our aim is to provide the best customer service through an empowered, talented, and responsive team. To achieve this, we are looking for someone with a trade qualification in diesel fitting or similar and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role. You will also have:

• Absolute discretion in dealing with confidential matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Optimising customer satisfaction by liaising with customers.
• Contributing to the sales planning, analysis information.
• Contribute to the production of the sales budget.
• Produce estimates, quotes and proposals for existing and prospective customers.
• Generate quotation and job reports for all complete components disassembled on site, as per the work instruction provided.
• Generate quotation for parts orders only.
• Work with the production team to help schedule incoming and ongoing work, to ensure it meets the customers’ current needs.
• To assist the branch manager in certain areas of data entry and processing.
• Negotiate with customer regarding warranty claims and complaints.
• Maintain the company’s high standard of business ethics in dealings with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Commence, maintain, and update delivery data and keep the customer informed of any changes to supply.

Employee Management, Training & Development

• Be responsible for the performance of the estimating team to deliver company & customer expectations.
• Develop and support a performance-based culture and actively implement the company performance review process.
• Work with Human Resources department in relation to employee disciplinary matters.
• Provide group and one to one coaching and training to employees using company approved resources.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of employee knowledge.
