Job Description Responsible for running the Quality & Program Excellence function for the Digital Enterprise service line in Hitachi Vantara. Ensure that all projects are delivered using a 'best-practice' Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
This role will be three-fold,
Firstly overseeing the delivery of projects providing expert guidance, support and monitoring/reporting on the project status
Secondly managing initiatives for enhancing and building the project management capability within the organization.
Finally building and constantly enhancing the organization's Project Delivery Approach in view of the new innovation based solution services of Hitachi Vantara.
Strong people, project or program management and excellent organizational skills are fundamental, as is the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organization.
Competencies Needed Project/Program management and planning skills
Ability to manage a range of projects types and complex business initiatives and change programs
Should be adept in Quantitative Project Management i.e, EVM(Earned Value Management), effort, schedule and defect metrics etc
Hands on with conducting Root cause analysis, metrics analysis and suggest improvements
Providing inputs to the project team in selection of the methodology, tools, configuration of the project management tool during initial project setup
Ability to juggle different projects/priorities and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure
Capability to provide timely, accurate and relevant project and portfolio reporting as agreed
Capability to track project benefits realization and lessons learnt activities to feed into on-going improvements
Responsible for mentoring and coaching the Project Managers in the Service Line and business project teams to effectively implement the Project Delivery Approach Experience in embedding the use of RAID(Risk, actions, issues and defects) logs as part of the day to day project activities
Able to focus on a clear goal in all actions
Ability to monitor and report on project budgets across the portfolio at stakeholder and Sponsor levels
Advanced IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint and Excel and MS Project or other project tools
Ownership of the organization's Project Delivery Approach, its development , implementation, and rollout
Thought leader with a view to creating a viable Project/program management service and supporting pragmatic delivery of projects
Recognized formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent) is desirable, d egree qualified is desirable. Ability to and experience of providing input to organizational business and budget planning.
Good understanding of performance management frameworks and tools in the delivery of business objectives

• Highly motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and direction
• Strong time management and problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail, both written and numerical, and commitment to quality
• Comfortable with coordinating and collaborating with business teams to drive required decisions and outcomes
• Cross functional relationship building is paramount. The candidate must be able to successfully work with and influence individuals not directly under their control
• Ability to challenge
• Excellent written & spoken English is essential
Essentials Skills: - Should have played the PM role for at least six to seven years
- Should be well exposed to the SAP S/4 HANA technology either in a functional or technical capacity
- Should be experienced in process definition, implementation and rollout
- Should be able to independently review the project status, audit the project based on Organization standards aligned to industry standards ( ISO 9001, CMMi, ITIL etc) and report it to Leadership
Report the below items to Global Leadership o Project Health status
o Client Escalations, Incidents
o Conduct detailed RCA in collaboration with the project teams
o Project Metrics etc
