NOTICE: Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (“HTA”) requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Manager, Supply Chain will manage and oversee the division’s overall supply chain functions. Additionally, will implement strategies to meet customer demands effectively and efficiently. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing supplier relationships necessary to support the division’s business objectives.
Determine and define materials and specifications required to meet business objectives through ongoing communication with engineers, sales, production, and operations.
Identify and evaluate current and potential suppliers that best meet business goals, customer demands, and production needs.
Works with production and supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels that maximize production and ensure timely deliver to customers.
Closely monitors inventory levels to minimize company risk and exposure due to excessive inventory.
Initiates PO request/orders to ensure cost effective inventory levels, while cognizant of lead times, production and testing time, delivery dates, and company cost exposure.
Oversee and/or directly works with suppliers regarding new designs, lead times issues, expedites, quality issues, and/or cost negotiations.
Regularly evaluates suppliers on performance and addresses issues to resolve and/or identify new suppliers.
Mange supplier transition when necessary to ensure uninterrupted material availability that will allow minimal to no effect on production schedule.
Work closing with Operations Management, production, and sales to provide estimates of cost and availability of material based on forecast or proposed forecast.
Regularly communicates any issues, changes or potential obstacles within supply chain that directly affect production demands and budget goals.
Provided compliance and maintain necessary documentation for various applicable regulations and standards, such as GRESS, ROHs, REACH, Conflict Material, OSHA.
Use SAP/S4HANA and EXCEL software to track inventory, production usage, vendor performance, and cost analysis.
Prepare inventory, production, usage, cost and forecast reports or analysis, as needed for budget, month end, or as requested by Management.
Identify and communicate potential problems relating to inventory; and recommend strategies to ensure timely deliveries and/or minimize the cost impact.
Documents all incoming and outgoing materials, to include storage, organization, and documentation. Monitors and ensures delivery and quality objective are met
Regularly communicate and work with all levels and departments within division.
Communicates regularly with outside suppliers, vendors, and/or customers.
Other duties as relevant to business operations.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years’ direct relevant supply chain experience within a manufacturing production type environment.
Previous experience with Production planning and inventory control management.
Solid understanding of the entire supply chain process, and product life cycle.
Experience working with suppliers and external customers.
Experienced with Excel, SAP (S4 Hana).
Minimal domestic travel on maybe required to visit and access suppliers.
Position is required to be onsite during normal business hours Monday- Friday.

Ability to work independently with little supervision but maintain effective communication with management and internal staff.
Effectively communicate with all levels and departments of the division, as well as with external vendors/suppliers and customers
Excellent interpersonal and negotiations skills with proven ability to create positive working relationships.
Strong analytic skills, problem solving, and business acumen.
Proficient in EXCEL and Microsoft office applications
Experienced with S4HANA or similar SAP system.
