About the Role

Hitachi has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team in the position of Major Client Account Manager. Responsible for managing the relationship between HCA and the client, your primary focus will be ensuring that HCA is seen as a strategic partner with the aim of delivering growth in whole goods, parts and service revenues and profits. You will have an excellent approach and understanding of HCA and client strategy, challenges and opportunities, in addition to being able to create and drive relationships across senior decision makers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing business growth strategies with all relevant RHIO businesses
  • Primary contact for executive and operational level relationships within RHIO
  • Analysis of fleet performance and health
  • Addressing and resolving support issues and disputes in a timely manner
  • Management of contractual agreements between HCA and RHIO
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate the ongoing needs of RHIO
  • Provide both Contractual and Operational support to both Hitachi and Roy Hill
  • Oversee day to day Hitachi operations onsite (staff)
  • Manage and Forecast Equipment Component requirements (AMT)
  • Manage Factory Campaigns / Warranty Repairs / and Pro-Rata Claims

Skills & Experience

  • To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Proven people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams
  • Experience in managing a business unit within the construction or mining industry
  • Exposure to managing large accounts including assisting with negotiating commercial contracts
  • Proven relationship building skills including high level written and oral communication
  • Relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications with further tertiary qualifications in Management, Marketing or similar
  • Working and influencing cross-functionally and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and department
  • Ability to influence credibly and effectively at all level
