What you’ll be doing
To ensure sustainable growth and profitability in digital and green through the Social Innovation Business, Hitachi is undergoing a major transformation to establish a customer centric business model (incl. alignment of global processes and common digital tools).
The overall ambition of the newly created global “Account Management” department is to “Represent the Hitachi voice of/to targeted customer - fully understanding its needs while increasing the share of wallet.”
The Head of Account Management contributes to Hitachi’s sustainable growth ambition through establishing a structured account management approach across Hitachi’s targeted industry segments. You’ll propose and implement the necessary account management processes and frameworks (e.g., account plan development, share of wallet & customer satisfaction increase, capture team selling etc) and act as a Center of Excellence for the group. You will manage a team of Group Accounts and work closely with Hitachi’s Industry Segment organization as well as businesses and regions to ensure costumer needs are translated into competitive value propositions that deliver profitable orders.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
Build up and manage a team of global account leaders
Develop aligned account plans to ensure appropriate sales and marketing efforts towards targeted customers
Establish “light” global Account Management frameworks & processes
Profitable order & sales pipeline responsibility for assigned team of Group Accounts in partnership with Businesses and regions
Summarize appropriate feedback on market developments (customers & competitors) and requirements

What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for include:
More than 15 years of successful Account Management and marketing & sales related working experiences in one or more of the following market segments: Power, Mobility, Industry, IT
Extensive sales management experience
Proven successful senior management experience developing and leading global teams
Digital tools (especially CRM) proficiency
Excellent leadership skills for calibrating with various (executive) stakeholders and driving a global transformation program. Results orientated, self-motivated and driven
Cultural sensitivity and openness to work in an international business environment across all timezones
Master’s degree and above in Engineering or IT. MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
Excellent English level. Japanese proficiency a great plus
