Job DescriptionJOB RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Function: The Software and Services Billing Specialist position oversees the process of reselling 3rd party software and maintenance renewals to customers.
This position is fully remote but access to Calgary and Toronto offices is available for local applicants.
Principal Accountabilities: - Oversee full end to end process of 3rd party software and maintenance resale to customers
- Manage the billing, budget, and project accounting for software/maintenance projects for North America region
- Maintain customer annual maintenance renewal information
- Contact vendors electronically to obtain software and maintenance renewal quotes to prepare customer invoices
- Issue annual and monthly software and maintenance invoices to customers
- Issue semi-monthly and monthly service invoices to customers
- Ensure timely and accurate revenue and cost recognition for renewals
- Update customer files with issued invoices
- Maintain customer master file with contact information
- Process credit memos
- Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites
- Submit invoices by electronic data interchange
- Daily correspondence with internal project managers for project maintenance and customers for invoicing
Qualifications- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables
- Experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Good organization skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
- Experience working with Microsoft or other software providers a benefit
- Experience in high paced environment
- Knowledge of basic sales tax in US and CA an asset
Education:- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a Finance/Business related field (or working towards completion)
