Description

As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to perfect your machine design skills to concept and detail custom industrial automation systems.  The innovative solutions we design offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Select critical components, create top-level assemblies and product architecture.
  • Make recommendations for design direction.
  • Review and assess peer drawing packages.
  • Contact vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design.
  • Develop conceptual designs for various automation projects.
  • Initiate minor design and workflow improvements.
  • Assist with the successful management of assigned projects as they relate to cost, quality, timing and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field OR Associates degree with 2 years of related experience
  • Prior machine design experience preferred on CAD system and/or Pro Engineer Basic and Advanced Assembly training; or equivalent experience

Skills You’ll Have: 

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD).

Other Details: 

  • Travel up to 10% to customer sites & other JR locations
