ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: : 

  • Organize and file documents according to established procedure. Prepare filing systems in prescribed format.
  • Support month end closing activities.
  • Perform/support SOX testing.
  • Maintain Payroll deductions and adjustments tracking logs related to employee deductions for such items as gym membership, united way, and benefit enrollments.
  • Accommodate Payroll window with various Employees payroll needs.
  • Serve as the backup to Accounts Payable as needed.
  • Receive and open incoming mail for Accounts Payable.
  • Perform data entry as needed (Multiple Systems).
  • Perform special projects as directed, and prepare reports and analyses as appropriate.
  • Interact with other Accounting personnel on a daily basis and assist on special projects.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information required especially payroll.
  • Comply with Internal Control measures in all financial activities.
  • Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards (QMS, SHEMS, 6S, TS, etc.) through compliance, improvement and preventive measures.
  • Perform related tasks as needed or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma and pursuing a 4-yr college degree in Accounting or other Business program.
  • Computer proficiency with MS software and expertise in Excel
  • Pleasant office environment, primarily, moderately loud manufacturing environment, secondary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Major portion of schedule is spent sitting, using hands to keyboard, write, and handling files and documents. Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding are required. Moving about facility, standing to file and some stair climbing may be required. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception are required. Lifting to no more than 25lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Pleasant office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment and steel toe shoes.
