Receiving Team Lead
Company: Hitachi Astemo Electric Motor Systems America, Inc.

Status: Regular (Hourly)
Directs the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the receiving process. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed.
Assists Receiving Supervisor with development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse team
Leads by example and trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines crew being supervised
Coordinates with the Receiving Supervisor to manage personnel issues and requests
Leads crew by example by unloading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary
Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations
Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew
Trained in all areas of warehouse operations and is a back-up to other warehouse lead roles when necessary
Develops and oversees all KPI’s within the receiving area
Researches/identifies root cause for all errors that affect receiving department and recommends/implements changes to ensure the errors do not continue
Effectively plan daily receiving activities while being flexible to shifting priorities
Ensure daily requirements and established time sensitive receipts (SLA’s) are completed
Handle supplying parts for mass production line in accordance with production plan for supporting production team.
Coordinate daily management with other division members for production.
Ability to work and manage independently or in a team environment

Education and Experience:
Two to four years related experience or equivalent
Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
Ability to create formulas, charts, and pivot tables in Excel
Prior experience in Aurora/System 21 a plus, though not required
Trained and/or overseen new staff members in a warehouse setting
Performed quality audits
Have conducted team meetings outlining imperative information to the department
Must be able to devise own solutions to difficult issues that may arise
Prior knowledge of bin location system
Researched transaction history to solve issues and answer questions
Experience leading a team of ten or more employees
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the direction and supervision of shipping team members.

Work Environment: This position works in a production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.
