POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for providing high level escalated support on networks and Microsoft systems to the rest of the IT Team & assist in IT project work. Additional responsibilities will include dealing with L1, L2, and L3 support calls along with designing and implementing new networks & systems.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
  • Escalated IT support
  • Project scoping, customer audits/reviews and solution design
  • IT project delivery
  • Research & implement new technologies
  • Microsoft Server support
  • Installing, supporting and recovering clients
  • Providing support, as needed, to the local and global HEPI user community

DECISION MAKING:

Position will not be required to make decisions that will directly impact the department but will be asked for input and recommendations on a regular basis.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position requires collaboration with other members of the IT Team and from all the HEPI subsidiaries as well as external contractors and suppliers. This position reports directly to the Group IT Manager and has regular communication with the IT Director at the parent company.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Exposure to Hyper-V environments
  • Exposure to Microsoft Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Office 365
  • Microsoft Certified
  • Extensive experience supporting Microsoft technologies
  • Extensive project experience implementing new systems including Server Migrations
  • Strong experience with installing and supporting Windows Server Family, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy and other essential services
  • Strong experience with Hyper-V and Storage Area Networking
  • Strong experience with local area networks, VPN, remote access, switch and router technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good all-rounder, competent with most business technology within an office environment experience.
  • Azure experience desirable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the accountabilities of the job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, feel with their hands, reach and handle materials weighing up to 10 pounds. The employee will frequently need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, walk and handle materials weighing 10-20 pounds. On occasion the employee will need to handle materials weighing 20-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees). The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The employee is also frequently exposed to sharp and abrasive edges which may result in scrapes, cuts and bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
  • Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
  • Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
