Summary of the position:

The General Manager role is responsible for overseeing daily business activities, improving overall business functions, training heads of departments, managing budgets, developing strategic plans, creating policies, and communicating business goals. The General Manager should support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organization's image, and meet overall growth objectives.

Air Industrial Resource is located at 5015 Raytown Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Allocating budget resources
• Formulating policies
• Coordinating business operations
• Monitoring and motivating staff
• Managing operational costs
• Ensuring customer service excellence
• Improving administration processes
• Engaging with vendors – third party suppliers
• Hiring and training employees
• Identifying business opportunities
• Monitoring financial activities
• Developing and implementing growth strategies
• Creating and managing budgets
• Managing P&L
• Improving revenue
• Evaluating performance and productivity
• Analyzing accounting and financial data

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Technical Training/Certifications a plus

Professional experience:

• Ten plus years in a GM role - in the compressed air industry (preferred), HVAC, industrial equipment, forklifts, or construction equipment
• Proven leadership experience with strong written and verbal communication
• Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite
• Must have prior P&L responsibility. Exceptional budgeting and finance skills
• Experience with SAP ERP systems a plus
• Previous sales experience is required for this role- position will support the sales team and may at times meet with key customers and help close deals
• An entrepreneurial and growth mindset is needed for this role
