General Responsibilities:

The business/sales analyst role requires a deep understanding of the automotive market and technology trends.  Job duties to include collecting data, reviewing current customers contracts, analyzing market trends, and creating detailed reports. The main goal of a sales analyst is to develop strategies that improve sales productivity and financial support for the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pricing list maintenance / verification support
  • Raw material tracking by commodities and customer indexes.
    • To ensure Metric input accuracy / verification – weight, etc
    • Coordinating adjustments/reconciliations with the cross functional teams.
  • Support sales budgets
  • Monthly production volume tracking vs budgets, capacities, and amortization schedules
  • Tooling recovery /tracking/follow through, also to include realignment of PO vs. Actual spend support
  • Special influence/activity for price recovery (Directed sourced items, Freight cost uplift due to   customer order fluctuation and etc)
  • Support customer cost model activities
  • Establish and maintain project information
  • Lead OES activities to include:
    • Price adjustment to pre-texturing levels
    • Price adjustment at first window for uplift from OEM -> OES
    • Price adjustment to reflect further impacted component costs / inefficiencies from volume impact / time in OES
    • Obtaining RMI support for OES
    • OES aging and contract obligation completed preparation and discussion to continue or quit
    • Ship volume review and minimum order quantity negotiation / management

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience in managing OEM accounts.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Well organized, inquisitive and detail oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong interest and availability for some travel, including international

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Education:  Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business

Experience:  1-5 years’ experience in sales, engineering, program management, or business development. Automotive chassis experience preferred. 

Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Working conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: Domestic and international travel required.
