Description

As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to lead a team and work with customers while integrating some of the most state of the art robotics & technology available.  The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Supervise mechanical engineers and other staff.  
  • Assist engineers to identify areas for technical and career development. 
  • Partner with manager to develop engineering department through leadership, training and continuous improvement. 
  • Manage several on-going projects concurrently, including staffing, workload issues, and meeting project timelines    
  • Design mechanical equipment to meet customer requirements. 
  • Responsible for leading cross-functional technical teams throughout the lifecycle of various projects. 
  • Assists with the successful management of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 
  • Engineering Management or MBA degree desirable 
  • FE Exam OR EIT preferred 
  • 10+ years of related experience 
  • 2+ years leading technical projects   

Skills You’ll Have:  

  • Experienced with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD) 
  • Breadth and depth of experience with automation products, services, and the industry. 
  • Ability to identify systemic issues to improve department efficiency.  
  • Experience leading technical projects 

Other Details:  

  • Travel up to 20% to customer sites & other JR locations 
  • Negotiate critical issues with internal and customer engineers and leaders. 
  • Conduct presentations and may participate in media interviews. 
  • Lead teams and influence project direction and progress.  
  • Serve as a technical expert and leader in the department.
