Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Work Package Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Italy (GENOA)

Hitachi Rail STS is looking for a Work Package Leader, able to follow tenders and to ensure design and delivery of new mobility systems and applications, extending the functionalities of Control Centers through the integration, standardization and innovation of different technologies.


More in detail the candidate will be able to ensure and perform the following activities:

  • Analyse, manage and update tenders requirements.
  • Improve integration and standardization of different technologies, in collaboration with all the Control Centers Technical clusters.
  • Participate in the mobility project teams, from the bidding phase to the delivery, in terms of standardization, platforms, Value Added Services and integration.
  • Ensure the evolution of Integrated Mobility in terms of architecture and platforms, integrated HMI and common data definition.
  • Prepare and update documents to reach a successfully delivery, with focus on system performance, operation and maintenance aspects.
  • Participate in the definition of new mobility services, functions and tools to be integrated.
  • Participate in the definition and development of the roadmap for integration of new mobility products and technologies with Hitachi group.
  • Ensure the sharing of knowledge (e.g. best practice, lesson learned).
  • Support the sharing of technological needs with other departments managers.

Required skills/knowledge

The candidate must have/acquire a sufficient knowledge of the relevant technologies described before and the following skills:

  • Engineering and problem solving background.
  • High level of abstract and critical thinking.
  • Value Creation.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Business Awareness.

Good knowledge and ability in understanding, writing and speaking English language. Other languages will be an important plus.
