Executive Search Recruiter – Lead

What you’ll be doing

The Corporate Talent Acquisition team supports hiring globally for some of Hitachi’s group companies.  Hitachi is investing in this team with the creation of a group-wide executive search capability.    As the first member of the Executive Search team, the Lead recruiter will work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition on proposition development, will act as an ambassador for the capability of the function, and will be hands-on with the delivery of searches. 

This will be a varied role and will include:

• Conducting research to identify target companies and talent.  You’ll be developing and nurturing networks of game-changing senior talent
• Partnering with senior leaders at Hitachi to offer advice and guidance on search strategies and market insight
• Leading on search mandates through the full hiring lifecycle.  This will include direct sourcing and managing external partners as required
• Support the continuous development of the executive search team capability including market mapping approach, candidate engagement strategy and executive assessment methodology.
• Implementing approaches to ensure the candidates we engage with, represent the communities in which we operate

The role will be remote based, so we welcome applications from candidates from across the United States.  There will be occasional travel to Hitachi offices in the US and globally. 

What you bring to the team

We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision.  Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:

• A demonstrable successful history of delivering executive and senior level talent acquisition searches gained with a search firm or in a corporate environment.  Having delivered searches internationally is highly desirable
• Experience of working in competitive talent markets.  A background in tech hiring will be advantageous 
• Excellent market mapping and research capabilities combined with first-class communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to partner with, advise and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience of working in a highly matrixed organization
• A supportive and inspiring management style focused on coaching teams to deliver high levels of service
• An understanding of Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and technology

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the expected salary for this position is $120,000 – $140,000.  Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.  Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, as well as our Health and Welfare and Retirement programs, subject to the programs’ conditions and restrictions.
