Description

As a Controls Design Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to perfect your controls/electrical design experience and create solutions with originality and ingenuity. Your primary responsibility will be to create electrical and fluid power designs using AutoCAD Electrical. The innovative solutions we design offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities.

What You'll Do:

Design electrical and fluid power schematics and select critical components.
Contact vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design.
Initiate minor design and workflow improvements.
Assess peer design drawing packages.
Partner with cross functional team members throughout the design process.
Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques.
Assist with the successful execution of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or 5 years’ experience in the automation industry.
Proficient use of CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, required) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of applicable industry standards.
Experience with electrical and fluid power circuits.

Skills You’ll Have:

Ability to understand electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.
Basic electrical & pneumatic calculations

Other Details:

Travel up to 10% to customer sites & other JR locations
