What you’ll be doing
To ensure sustainable growth and profitability in digital and green through the Social Innovation Business, Hitachi is undergoing a major transformation to establish a customer centric business model (incl. alignment of global processes and common digital tools).
The overall ambition of the newly created global “Industry segment” department is to establish “Thought-leadership in market segments with the biggest potential for green and digital solutions”.
The Head of Industry Segments contributes to Hitachi’s sustainable growth ambition through establishing & summarizing industry thought leadership and domain expertise for Hitachi’s targeted industry segments. You’ll propose and implement the necessary segment management processes and frameworks (overall market analysis, specific industry playbooks, partnership and solution approaches etc) and act as a Center of Excellence for the group.
You will oversee a team of Industry Network leaders as well as segment marketing and solution architect specialists and work closely with Hitachi’s Account Management organization as well as businesses and regions to ensure costumer needs can be translated into competitive value propositions.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
Build up and manage a team of global segment leaders
Develop aligned industry playbooks and summarize domain knowledge within the defined industry segments. Establish supporting “light” global frameworks & processes
Lead the market segment process knowledge transfer within the Hitachi group
Develop and promote value proposition for the target segments and communicate to all stakeholders, supporting the development and achievement of standards
Summarize appropriate feedback on market developments (customers & competitors) and requirements

What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for include:
More than 15 years of successful marketing & sales related working experiences in one or more of the following market segments: Power, Mobility, Industry, IT
Extensive marketing & strategic planning experience
Proven successful senior management experience developing and leading global teams
Digital tools (especially CRM) proficiency
Excellent leadership skills for calibrating with various (executive) stakeholders and driving a global transformation program. Results orientated, self-motivated and driven
Cultural sensitivity and openness to work in an international business environment across all timezones
Master’s degree and above in Engineering or IT. MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
Excellent English level. Japanese proficiency a great plus
