Description

As a Controls Design Engineer II, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to perfect your controls/electrical design experience and create solutions with originality and ingenuity.  The innovative solutions we design offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Contact vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design. 
  • Design electrical and fluid power schematics and select critical components. 
  • Initiate minor design and workflow improvements. 
  • Assess peer design drawing packages. 
  • Partner with cross functional team members throughout the design process.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR Associates degree with 2+ years of related experience 
  • 2+ years of related experience   

Skills You’ll Have:  

  • Experience with CAD (i.e. AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks). 
  • Conduct electrical & pneumatic calculations. 
  • Ability to understand electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings. 

Other Details:  

  • Travel up to 10% to customer sites & other JR locations 
  • Train and mentor 1-2 team members as directed.
