Description

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will ensure that JR offers pay plans that are competitive, fiscally viable, and in accordance with state and federal laws. You will be responsible for the development and administration of compensation plans for hourly, salary, sales, and executive leadership while working closely with employees and leaders throughout the business.

What You’ll Do:

Compensation Analysis

  • Conduct job audits – determine salary ranges/grades based on compensable job factors and Mercer survey data to maintain grade equity.
  • Assist in developing compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and special incentives
  • Create job descriptions using input from managers, job questionnaires, observations of work and interviews with position incumbents. 
  • Maintain the job description database.  
  • Ensure compliance with national and state regulations, internal policies, and guidelines.

 

Mercer Compensation Survey Management

  • Analyze Mercer data for benchmarking purposes to ensure appropriate job levels and associated salary ranges for all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in salary surveys, extracting and compiling pertinent data to complete survey questionnaires.
  • Evaluate market and economic trends to recommend ranges, adjustments, and hiring rates for salary structures.
  • Detail how an individual sales team member is to be paid for achieving sales goals, addressing base salary, commissions, and incentives linking these monetary rewards with sales performance.

 

Annual Performance and Pay Reviews

  • Participate in annual compensation budget planning.  Develop cost projections and initiate pay changes for affected incumbents.
  • Compile and analyze data to develop projections and make appropriate recommendations concerning salary budget, salary structure adjustments, job pay range adjustments and employee pay rate adjustments.

 

What You’ll Bring:

You will deal with large quantities of data so you should be highly organized and detail oriented.  You should have strong interpersonal skills as you will frequently interact with others at multiple levels within our organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (3-5 years of related experience in lieu of education)
  • At least 3 years of compensation related experience
  • Strong knowledge of Workday, ADP and UKG Workforce Management
  • Experience using Mercer salary survey highly preferred
