Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed hybrid in Santa Clara, CA is $115,000 - $125,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid)

Requirements

• 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in software quality assurance and automation engineering, specifically within mobile application testing environments.

  This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring 3-4 days of on-site collaboration per week at our Santa Clara, CA office.

  Required Skills:

  Strong expertise as a mobile tester for both Android and iOS platforms.

  Proven hands-on experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Python.

  Demonstrated advanced expertise in Quality Assurance methodologies and practices, leading complex testing initiatives for enterprise-grade mobile applications.

  Expertise in utilizing configuration management and version control tools, such as Git.

  Extensive experience in designing and executing Usability, Functional, and Regression testing strategies.

  Exceptional communication and reporting skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Proven capability to deliver high-quality, detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.

  Strong understanding and practical application of agile software development methodologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Actively manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, test case creation, manual test execution, and test automation.

  Lead the comprehensive manual and automated testing of mobile applications across various Android and iOS devices, configurations, and OS versions.

  Develop, implement, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks using Python, directly contributing to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  Analyze complex technical specifications and user stories to identify potential risks and define effective testing strategies.

  Drive the investigation and resolution of critical defects, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes.

  Oversee the configuration and maintenance of diverse test environments, ensuring their readiness and stability.

  Proactively identify and propose innovative testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance overall quality and efficiency.  

  Mentor junior test engineers on advanced testing techniques, Python automation strategies, and best practices in mobile QA.  

  Generate comprehensive and insightful test reports, defect summaries, and release notes for stakeholders.
