Operations Manager (f/m/d) for Large Power Transformers

The opportunity

Shape the future of energy transmission where precision, complexity and strong leadership come together: As Operations Manager (f/m/d), you will take on a key role in the manufacturing of large power transformers at our production site in Bad Honnef.


You will lead production and production support functions, ensure quality, occupational safety and on-time delivery, and consistently develop processes, teams and structures. If you have solid leadership experience in an industrial production environment, understand complex special machinery manufacturing, and combine operational excellence with entrepreneurial thinking, this position offers you the opportunity to actively shape the development of the site and make a direct contribution to the energy transition.


Our transformers bring energy to where it is needed: charging stations for electric vehicles, cities, hospitals, companies and many more.



How you'll make an impact 


  • You will take responsibility for the areas of production, production engineering, goods receipt, maintenance and technical vocational training with approximately 250 employees
  • Together with your team, you will ensure smooth production processes, needs-based capacity planning and high-quality, on-time order processing
  • You will drive continuous improvement methods and benchmarking with other factories to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve safety, quality and on-time delivery
  • You will coordinate closely with key interfaces such as Quality, Planning and Engineering
  • You will ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a safety-conscious working environment
  • You will lead and develop a diverse team and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and professional development
  • As a member of the local management team, you will actively help shaping the strategic direction and development of the site

 

Your Responsibilities 


  • Degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams in an industrial environment, preferably in special machinery business
  • Sound knowledge of organizational development and lean manufacturing
  • Fluent communication in German and English across different organizational levels
  • Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness as well as proactive thinking
  • Efficient and process-oriented working style and the ability to remain composed in stressful and complex situations
  • Fluent English required, fluency in German desired
