The Procurement Senior Para-Professional will support procurement operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves assisting with vendor management, purchase order processing, and maintaining procurement documentation.
How you’ll make an impact
Assist in the preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs).
Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Support vendor selection processes, including conducting basic vendor research and maintaining vendor master data.
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and invoice discrepancies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
Assist in monitoring supplier performance and resolving minor issues or disputes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
Contribute to the implementation of procurement best practices and process improvements.
Generate routine procurement reports and analyze basic purchasing data.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your Background
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and procurement-related modules.
Upper-intermediate to advanced English required; basic to intermediate Portuguese is a plus.
Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing principles, and purchasing best practices.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Hybrid work model in San Luis Potosí (SLP): 2 days per week in the office, with the possibility of increasing to 3 days per week next year.
Temporary position (6-month contract) with the possibility of extension up to 1 year.
