Senior Engineer – Viewpoint & SQL

Job Description

Requirements

Independent contractor able to work on ViewPoint and associated business systems, providing application ownership, SQL Server development, reporting, integrations and operational support for business-critical platforms

Job Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure, maintain and support ViewPoint, including security, reporting and data management.
Troubleshoot application, configuration and data-related issues and support upgrades and releases.
Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database solutions including T-SQL, stored procedures, views and functions.
Optimise database performance and resolve data integrity and reconciliation issues.
Produce and support operational and management reporting solutions.
Support integrations between ViewPoint and other enterprise systems.
Develop and maintain automation, data movement and integration solutions.
Participate in Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management processes.

Essential Experience
Significant experience supporting and administering enterprise business applications.
Strong SQL Server development experience including T-SQL, stored procedures, views and functions.
Experience designing, supporting and optimising SQL databases.
Experience supporting business-critical reporting and data solutions.
Experience troubleshooting complex application, database and integration issues.
Desirable Experience
ViewPoint experience.
C# / .NET development and PowerShell
Azure data and integration technologies (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Logic Apps).
API integrations, ETL tools and automation technologies.
Experience within legal, professional services or financial services environments.

Qualifications
Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Essential: Demonstrable experience supporting enterprise systems and SQL Server solutions.
Desirable: Microsoft SQL or Azure certifications.
Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification.
Desirable: ViewPoint-specific training or certification.
Desirable: Agile / Scrum training.
