Job Description

Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Technical Office Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Rail GTS Egypt LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for electrical systems within our railway projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities**


* Develop and maintain electrical BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to construction and handover.
* Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural) to resolve conflicts and optimize designs.
* Generate detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and reports from BIM models, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
* Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to integrate BIM into design and construction workflows.
* Participate in design reviews, providing expert input on electrical systems and BIM implementation.
* Assist in the development and enforcement of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the electrical engineering department.
* Conduct quantity take-offs and material estimations from BIM models for procurement and cost control.
* Provide training and support to other team members on BIM software and processes.
* Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on BIM in the railway, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
* Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, Navisworks, or similar.

* Good knowledge in ELV Systems
* Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
* Experience with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, local regulations).
* Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
* Experience with railway signaling or traction power systems is a significant advantage.
